Yesterday was a bad day. I was blowing my nose all the time. My nose was like a faucet I couldn't turn off, it kept dripping out watery snot. One day later, and it's not doing it any more. Weird.

I suddenly felt good enough to work on something. But what? I was going through my computer and found a muse: Stupidman 2 for the NES. I started work on it but didn't even complete room 1 or 4. So I decided to make the background for it.

In this door, the left-most one, (you can complete the four doors in any order) Stupidman must cross the river by hopping on logs. I found it odd that Frogger never appeared on the NES. So I'm trying to recreate part of it here.  Sometimes enemies will pop up on the logs to avoid, so I'm imagining a game where you go down, but sometimes up to avoid an enemy that's going to pop up. The enemy will flash a bit before becoming solid and deadly. Well, not deadly. All that will happen is Stupidman starting again at the top if he hits an enemy.

Yes, I need to put the logs and enemies in the game. That will be the next step in working on this. I spent a fair amount of time trying to put the word "PAUSE" in a certain place, which is hard when you don't know what the code that puts words on the screen does. Eventually I got it in the middle if you press START, but I don't know how I did it.

And I plan to put in multiple rivers that Stupidman needs to cross, each more harder than the last. On the whole, I'm imagining a game similar to Mega Man, but a whole lot easier since I needed a Game Genie to defeat just one level of Mega Man. I mean really. Do they need to make it so hard that even people who played video games all their lives stink at it?
