thrashncrash | 112
Here is my collection of Game Genies and GameShark's. The Game Genies I have are for NES with codebook, Genesis, and SNES. Now for the GameShark, I have a GBC Pokémon bundle with the codebook, link cable, and PC cable. The rest of GameShark's are PS2 V2, Broadband Enabled version PS2 with the PS1 disc, and two different versions of PS1 GameShark.

Now for collecting Game Genie or GameShark codebooks, I might get more. Nowadays you can find most GG and GS codes online somewhere. The things next on my list to get are N64 GameShark and PS1 Dex Drive. I recently acquired a GameShark SharkPort PS2 Code and Save Transfer Kit Complete. I will get pictures once it arrives. croagunk | 798
Awesome collection! The only cheat device I have is Action Replay DS. I remember using it to fill the Pokémon Diamond Pokédex. Lol
MegaMan52 | 2,592
Interesting. In addition to the devices and codebooks, you collect the cables and code browser discs as well. Here's my Game Genie, GameShark, and Action Replay collection: NES Game Genie: Original Game Boy Game Genie: Game Boy/Game Boy Color GameShark: Advance Game Port for GameCube: Basically a third-party Game Boy Player. Has a built-in Action Replay for Game Boy Advance games. Action Replay for GameCube: Newer Action Replay for GameCube from 2007: I also have a Game Boy Advance Action Replay, but I couldn't find it. However, I used it a few years ago to play a Sonic X Game Boy Advance video cartridge on the GameCube via the Game Boy Player: I also have a Code Breaker for Game Boy Color. Maybe I'll take a picture of it later. Edit: Here's a picture of the Code Breaker: Years ago, I used the Code Breaker to play dual-mode GBC games in monochrome mode on the Game Boy Player. I didn't use any codes. What I did was insert an original Game Boy game so that the Game Boy Player would run in original Game Boy mode. I slowly removed the game from the Code Breaker. It was still functioning. Then I carefully inserted the GBC version of Wario Land II. Since the Game Boy Player was running in original Game Boy mode, it was forced to run the game in monochrome. As soon as the game started the screen was white, but it was playing. As soon as I selected an option on the title screen, the game reset (deleting my save file in the process) and displayed properly in monochrome. Of course there's not much point in doing this, since if you want to play Wario Land II in monochrome on a Game Boy Player you can just play the original grey cartridge version. But I thought it was interesting that there is a way to play dual-mode GBC games in monochrome mode on a Game Boy Player (probably also works on Game Boy Advance). This picture was taken in 2014. You can tell it's the Game Boy Color version of Wario Land II (in monochrome) because the window lacks the arch that is in the original grey cartridge version. drxandy | 3,285
I love these cheat devices too! Used to have a bunch of game boy / gba ones but sold em years back, then started finding others locally so kinda came back to em. They remind me of going over to a friend's house who had em for NES and SNES and sleepovers playing around with codes.
thrashncrash | 112
The reason why I collect the different versions of GameShark discs. Is that the older discs don't have the newer games on them. Depending on when a game came out, you might need to use a different version. It is a pain manually entering GS codes using a controller. Now having the browser disc and cable helps speed things up a bit.
thrashncrash | 112
Once I start collecting Super Famicom games, I can use my Game Genie to play them. Without buying a Super Famicom or breaking the tabs in my Super Nintendo. 1

It’d be awesome to find a GBA Action Replay sometime.
bowser | 600
Is it possible to get the GameShark SP (MadCatz version) working on 64-bit Windows 7? I think I tried with compatibility mode but that didn't work. I managed to install the drivers and boot up the software but it always gives an error detecting the GameShark. Some DLL problem that I suspect is related to 32/64 bit issues.

thrashncrash | 112
Another GameShark thing added to my collection. Now to see if I can still be able to send and receive Emails from my Gameboy Color. Who knew they made things like this for video game consoles? Cool nonetheless
thrashncrash | 112
It finally arrived today. A GameShark Shark MX Email Gameboy color that uses a dial-up connection. It does have a card to activate it, and I doubt it still works. For two reasons, all the servers are no longer and GameShark is no longer in business.

thrashncrash | 112
What this does is, allow you to use a Windows 95/98 computer to program Gameshark codes for the PS1. Now I have both versions of the PS1 Gameshark. The fat PS1 Gameshark plugs into the back and the PS1 slim memory card.
