The dude survived Joe Pesci, got lobotomized by Hannibal, and put up with Kevin Cosner's bad pitching, but went in his sleep. Californication | 1,491
Sad. He really shined more as he got older. I personally think "Killing them Softly" was one of his best performances. Edited May 26, 2022 by Californication
a3quit4s | 4,329
RIP - I loved all his movies. I don’t know why but Charlie St. Cloud stands out to me, he didn’t have a ton of screen time but brought a lot of power when he did. Of course there are all his classics. Huge loss
TDIRunner | 2,876
That seems so sudden. He wasn't that old. I just rewatched the Hannibal Lector movies (just the three with Anthony Hopkins) about a week ago. I've always enjoyed that trilogy. I can't think of any movies I saw him in that I didn't enjoy.

Huge loss I think it’s a great example of what he could bring to a role, even a small one. He was the best part of that movie. Dude sounded like a straight up devout Catholic. He played it perfectly. I enjoyed him in Narc as well; didn't see that one mentioned yet.
Sumez | 3,152
Ray Liotta always came across to me as a bit of a doofus. Like a highschool jock who's playing it cool but doesn't really understand simple things. And I don't mean any disrespect, because he was pretty fucking great at playing up that exact role and really excelled at playing super douchy characters. Looking at his more recent stuff, I absolutely loved him in Marriage Story: Â For some reason his death actually hit me quite hard. I always enjoy seeing him in movies, and that age was way too early to go!
