Cyan_phoenix | 17
Are these the ones? I’ve got 4 - zelda, Mario, yoshi and star fox. Not sure how many different ones there are, but they look awesome and also curious to know. I would have gotten these only about 5-7 years ago on eBay. Thought they looked cool when I saw them and had to add them to my collection. Edited August 17, 2022 by Cyan_phoenix 3 1

Cyan_phoenix | 17
I was curious and looked at my past emails to work out when and where I got them. How time flies! It was actually almost 10 years ago (2013) I got them on eBay. I actually got them from the US (I’m based in Australia) so not even the high postage costs detracted me from getting these! I love how there is a little description of each game at the back. Nothing will ever beat the n64-era related toys 1

I'm curious what this was worth in 2013 dollars. It wouldn't surprise me that in todays market these could go for $150-300 each, depending on the game. Maybe even more. It depends on who finds a listed auction and what they'd be willing to pay. Of course, I don't know how rare these are so if they pop up from time to time, that's a huge factor. Regardless, I have no recollection of these as a kid (and I would have wanted them even in the 90s as a late teenager) so I'm guessing they weren't too common back then. Cyan_phoenix | 17
Apparently I paid 49.99USD (plus 22.74USD postage). The listing in the email is old and there are no longer images to it (the listing title was: JOHNNY LIGHTNING RACINGDREAMS GAMES Nintendo 64 Zelda Mario 1/64 Die Cast Cars). To the best of my recollection i think I got all four from that auction, however I can’t rule out the possibility this may have just been for the zelda and Mario cars and I somehow got the other two separately in another listing (it was so long ago, I’m not certain). Hope that helps! 1
360collector | 289
yeah I only see them from US sellers. Unfortunately shipping and import taxes are totally keeping me away from them
Cyan_phoenix | 17
I’ve taken a few close up photos of each (and the back- which has some cool little details on each game). I’ve added these on my Instagram account too and asked around if anyone knew of any more than these four. Will update here if I find out anything!

The packaging just takes it to another level. What a niche collectible!
JamesRobot | 6,030 Events Team ·
I generally don't go for the Johnny Lightning cars but I do like their detail. My main problem is the wheels and rubber tires which cause the cars to not roll very well. I collect mostly Hot Wheels movie and TV licensed cars. Came across this bad boy the other day and figured it belonged here.
monsterG | 17
There were larger scale cars available than those pictured in this thread (maybe about 2.5 to 3 times as long). If you search magmas on ebay, you'll see the larger ones. I remember buying my large ones for $5 each in a bin full of them at Best Buy. The ones I remember are Smash Bros, DK64, Yoshi Story, and Zelda OOT. I don't recall seeing the Mario 64 and Starfox designs in the larger scale. Also, the smaller cars were not sold at my Best Buy. I can't recall where I saw them at the time.
