This is exactly how I felt. I'm not sure if it's FF IX but yes, it looked like a little, floaty status icon, or maybe an Icon you'd see by an item to let you know it was a weapon/sword. Most games with a sword icon, they point up and it delineates a value for strength, or in an item list it's showing that the item is a weapon or maybe specifically a sword. But being that this sword points down, it feels like it represents a status effect, like "Strength Up". I really feel like I know this one but I don't think it's a Final Fantasy title, but probably some form of RPG for sure. Aaaah, this one is driving me nuts!
