Where Are Game Shops around Boston?

Recommended Posts

I went last September and did a good amount of exploring and shopping and pre-visit research. I didn't find anything notable in the way of game collecting; closest possibility I saw was Cheapo Records.

It is a light rail train. Subway but also ground level sometimes. I like the system, $20 for unlimited rides (bus too) for a week. They call the farecard a Charlie Card for some reason.

@Code Monkey there are actually a few used game stores that aren't Gamestop there. I can't speak for them directly but Pandemonium Books & Games is the best-located one, in Cambridge which is a cool area. Ace's Games & More, APTGamers, and Sudden Impact are all in the opposite direction from the airport that I went, which might bode well for not being picked over. Info and pics on Google Maps.

I appreciate all of the suggestions. I mapped them all out and looked at their proximity to the bus routes. I did end up going to Replay'd (twice) but wasn't able to make it to any others. I'm hoping to stay at a different hotel next year so I can try out Sudden Impact and some others.

Last time I was in Boston I met up with the Nolans and they dropped me off at (or near) 402 Moody Street in Waltham and I went to a game store there. I had to go back into my Uber trips to find out where I was picked up and that's the address Uber has for my trip home. Now when I look it up on Google Maps street view, it appears to not be a game store anymore and I can't remember what the name even was. It was a pretty good store too.

I went to Replay'd 3 times during my trip there and all I got was a student discount and they were reluctant to give me that.
