Estil | 1,291
I do in fact get quite a sick pleasure from hearing stories like these where the girl wants a kitty so badly but her b/f or hubby isn't so sure of the idea...then when the kitty or kitties arrive they fall in love with the b/f or husband instead and ignore the one who wanted the little furballs in the first place! That of course is how I got my start being a wannabe crazy cat lady back in 2010 when my wife wanted a kitty sooooo badly but I wasn't so sure about it, but naturally the kitty, my dearly departed Tweetie (2005-2012, RIP) soon became a daddy's girl! As for my incumbent cat, Jamiee, he started out being afraid of me for the first few days! But after that, to here my wife talk, he became obsessed with me Yeah so don't anyone give me this crap about cats being "independent" https://ask.metafilter.com/135426/Our-cat-prefers-me-to-my-wife (I love when she sarcastically says, "here comes your girlfriend" ) https://thecatsite.com/threads/our-cat-is-a-daddys-girl.210684/ https://mycatisajerk.wordpress.com/2008/12/12/reason-my-cat-is-a-jerk-9-she-likes-my-husband-better/
Estil | 1,291
At long last a new Simon's Cat episode...and what a little brat he's being!! This is who Elmo once said was a "good kitty" And to flashback to a similar themed episode, poor Simon...goes through all the trouble of keeping Cat fed, watered, littered, looking for him in that four part series where Cat ran away and got lost...and this is how the little brat repays him? I'm sure glad my cat would never ever be like that...I hope... Edited April 17, 2020 by Estil
Tabonga | 2,533
Our cat Loki is the only cat I have ever seen who loves to get his belly rubbed. If you talk to him while walking by him he will roll over on his back (no matter where he is*) and start purring before you even touch him. I have had cats before who would roll over but wouldn't tolerate much in the way of belly rubbing. *If he is close to the edge of something (like our coffee table) I have seen him roll over and off the edge. He just stays on the floor waiting for his belly rub. Edited April 22, 2020 by Tabonga

Estil | 1,291
Oh yes cats indeed (as Klarth would say about Mint in Tales of Phantasia) have that quiet, gentle, graceful elegance about them don't they? Well, maybe not always...

Estil | 1,291
As I'm sitting on my couch typing this up, my best friend/pal/little buddy is as he often does, is just to the left of me on the top left corner of the couch sleeping (or else he sits there relaxed with his butt pointed towards me). Am I the only one who feels kinda envious watching kitty sleeping or relaxing because unlike us humans, they don't have to have a care in the world (provided they're in a good loving home of course). They don't have to worry about big complicated things like politics, the economy, state of world affairs, not to mention this stupid virus thing... I sure hope I'm a good cat parent for him...I do my best to keep him happy and safe and protected in this apartment where he belongs! A cat's place is in the home! Tabonga | 2,533
It's a prison break! Mrs.Tabonga found both Loki and Thor outside at different times today. We could not figure out how they were getting out until Mrs. Tabonga noticed that one of the window screens had been pushed out at the bottom. We don't know who the mastermind was but solitary with nothing but bread and water when we figure it out.
