The thread of mine that Deadeye quoted earlier is exclusively cartridge releases, check it out and you’ll see the many options available

In a nutshell, you've got a "streemer" that goes up at a 45 degree angle and grapples onto walls and whatnot, and each level is a giant obstacle course where you're trying to get from point A to point B. Tons of options and a cool little story the first time through that you can skip in subsequent playthroughs - and there will be subsequent playthroughs. Try it out today! It's not the same game from the Action 52 cartridge even though it's the same name? Wow, what a terrible decision from the publisher, I've been ignoring it for years because I wondered why anyone would ever pay for that terrible game. Streemerz was originally a developed as a NES-like flash game as part of a game jam where participants attempted to remake titles from Action 52. It's a pretty radical upgrade to the original Streemers and was very well received. It really borrows more from Bionic Commando than it does from it's namesake but it is not a hack. Faux Games then ported it to the Nintendo and it was featured as the flagship title of the first NESDev Action 53 compo cart. Coming full circle as it were. Gameplay is fun, controls are tight, and great humor throughout. Streemerz is essential homebrew. Get it! Here: https://www.fauxgame.com/ Or as part of the whole Action 53 download set at INL here: http://www.infiniteneslives.com/action53.php Here's the original flash version: http://www.superfundungeonrun.com/?page_id=763 Edited April 20, 2021 by JamesRobot

You wrote the company name as Fuax but in the web address it's Faux. Are they different companies?

So are you never going to try any of the NESDev competition titles because of the Action 52/53 association?

They would have just had a much better chance of getting me to buy it by getting my attention when it first came out instead of years later. I have no idea what NESDev is. NESDev is another forum dedicated to NES development and homebrewers. For the past decade NESDev has hosted a homebrew competition where brewers submit games, demos, apps, tools, etc. and entries are all featured in the follow up volume of Action 53 available from Infinite NES Lives. We have some overlap with members there but it's more of a technical forum with tons of dev talk and resources. You can always check out the progress of the competition games and play the early builds too. There have been some notable entries that have gone on to full releases. Nebs N Debs and Twin Dragons come to mind. The forthcoming Action 53 Vol 4 features entries from the 2017 and 18 competitions and will include Streemerz' return to physical cart. The entire package is also available for download here. Edited April 21, 2021 by JamesRobot
