Dumars2001 | 164
What a crazy price difference between the 2 grading companies. WATA 9.2 listed for a firm $20,000 https://www.ebay.com/itm/265140420212?epid=167388924&hash=item3dbb99be74:g:RwgAAOSw-cJgiQ VGA 80+ listed for $10,975 with best offer option https://www.ebay.com/itm/184798414693?epid=167388924&hash=item2b06d80765:g:gE8AAOSwCUNgNVeT Edited April 29, 2021 by Dumars2001
Sumez | 3,153
$20 sounds fair. If they are in real nice condition, maybe $40?

Yeah, they are listed insanely too high (or not) because a WATA 9.2 sold for $4,800 at Heritage Auctions back on May 3rd, 2020 and we know what a huge difference (spike) there has been in prices over the past 2 months alone. I’ll give you 30 for just the box and a sealed copy of Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader for the poster.

Not everything will go up in unison though. The market laws should still remain - some go up, some stay same, some go down. Also regarding the differences in BIN prices, it probably reflects how much people are overvaluing the prices of WATA graded games, just because Pokemon 90K and Mario 660K. In theory, the titles and conditions should dictate value, not which grading company has touched the games.
Gulag Joe | 590
The wata game does look to be in better condition in the photos. Does it look $10,000 better? Certainly not.

AdamW | 714
The pricing doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the grader either. I've seen Pokemon listings with the same grade from the same company at wildly different prices. It's hard to know what the seller's thought process is without asking them. I collect them CIB, but I do everything in my power NOT to look at them AT ALL. I close my eyes when grabbing a game off the shelf, which is why alphabetical order is so important for me.
