inasuma | 1,227
Big thanks to @Renmauzofor assisting with photos/cross-referencing! A while ago I completed my Mega Man sets on GBC/GBA and thought it'd be useful to share some of the info I discovered. It's not very complicated but there are slight nuances to note. Thankfully no design/content changes that I've found thus far. Titles in this guide: - Mega Man Xtreme - Mega Man Xtreme 2 - Mega Man Battle Network (1-6) - Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge - Mega Man Zero (1-4) - Mega Man & Bass --- All game contents are assumed to include: cart, manual, precautions booklet, and cardboard inlay/tray (although some don't and are noted). Differences between prints for the cart/manual/booklets aren't covered here, though there's definitely multiple runs of some games (such as Battle Network 3), so content/design changes are possible to have happened and I missed it. Format for games in this guide: Game Name Variants: - Variant 1 - Variant 2 - ... Additional contents: - Item 1 - Item 2 - ... <pics> Variants will include box (e.g. double-ended box) and seal (e.g. H-seam) variants. Contents will always refer to paperwork and/or extras included in the box. ------------------ TODO: - Confirm contents for double ended box variants of MMBN3 blue and white versions. ------------------ Mega Man Xtreme Variants: - Y-Fold box + H-seam Additional contents: - Power Up ad ------------------ Mega Man Xtreme 2 Variants: - Y-fold box + H-seam Additional contents: - Power Up ad ------------------ Mega Man Battle Network Variants: - Y-fold box + H-seam Additional contents: - Nintendo power advance ad ------------------ Mega Man Battle Network 2 Variants: - Y-fold box + H-seam Additional contents: - Nintendo power advance ad ------------------ Mega Man Battle Network 3: Blue Version Variants: - Y-fold box + H-seam - Double-Ended box + 3-side seam Additional contents: - Free gift / Nintendo power ad ------------------ Mega Man Battle Network 3: White Version Variants: - Y-fold box + H-seam - Double-Ended box + 3-side seam - White cover - Gray cover (unclear if there are content differences from white cover) Additional contents: - Gift / Nintendo power ad White cover: Gray cover: ------------------ Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun / Blue Moon Variants: - Y-fold box + H-seam Additional contents: - Free gift / Nintendo power ad - Capcom registration card ------------------ Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel / Team Protoman Variants: - Double-Ended box + 3-side seam - Might have "Plays on DS" and/or “Bonus!
