  1. I could handle that if I wanted to on my site. Mind you, I pretty strictly collect CIB, so everything I add to my site IS CIB to begin with.
  2. All of my games are in a database, yeah. I'm using Contentful for data management. I could easily export all of my content in a json format easily.
  3. If you have data in a spreadsheet, it's actually pretty easy (relatively speaking) to translate the data and import into a CMS. I made a function to do so just last week for a project I'm working on at work. 7700 Google Maps markers!
  4. Sorry but there's uh... Already a uh... I already posted...? *deletes your post to make my own*
  5. Yeah the style of the site is honestly basically bottom of the list for me. I'm a typical developer, I'm more interested in the data and logic. I tossed bootstrap on it, it runs on Vue (Nuxt SSG), and I made some basic styles that work for me, personally. Basic is nice for me, the alt with me is brutalist design and nobody wants that in a functional tool lol. It's bordering on functional brutalist as-is hah.
  6. Be sure you do! Even before there's anything to share, if you have made any progress I'd be interested. Tech Stack, CMS choice if you're using one and not hand-rolling it, etc. All very interesting to me!
  7. GlovesOff.Games Anybody else do this? If not, what's your preferred collecting software? I finally caved after years of using Backloggery because I want more control over the flow of information. With a site I've built myself obviously I have the most control possible, and I can style it however I want without worrying about pleasing anyone else. A fun side note is that it's all entirely free; it costs nothing to host the site aside from owning the domain, which is $12/year. It has a very powerful CMS behind it too (content management system), also free of course. Thoughts on my current site? Suggestions? It's a work in progress and I have plenty planned, but I'm always open to ideas of course! Here's the code repository since a few people have asked: https://github.com/DouglasKGlover/gloves-off-games If you'd like to run your own version of this you can, and I'd be happy to help you set it up.
  8. I considered doing the same, but I find the cases ugly. *shrug*
  9. Price only becomes relevant really if you decide you want one. Then it's a matter of "Boy I wish I bought it then...".
  10. Yeah they're like $6k now, maybe more? I've not seen a sale in a while; 2500 total were made.
  11. @Code Monkey I scrolled up from the bottom so I was about to tell you to get your ass back there and buy that Skill Kid F4F statue. Then I saw that the photos were taken in 2008. T_T
  12. To be FAIR! That'd be just about THE stupidest thing they could possibly do right now, with so many eyes on. If I have a history of car robbery, and someone is saying I robbed their car last week, I sure as hell ain't gonna go Rob a car THIS week! I mean that'd be STUPID! ... ... Yeah.
  13. Even MORE damning, we may have cracked the case on this "Bronty" person's name! "Dan" confirmed!
  14. Yeah I mean that's what scraping is, so. It's viewable. You can't go and like, copy it down in a database format or anything. But if you're nostalgic for a game, or really curious about something specific on a certain game or whatever, the info is (mostly?) there in the same way as it was 3 years ago, visible the same way you'd have seen it then. It's a combination I think of "it is what it is" and "good enough". Best we can hope for without Dain probably breaching his contract with GoCollect (if one was written) and/or risking being sued for sharing data he'd sold in the past.
  15. https://web.archive.org/web/20180816150309/http://nintendoage.com/ ^ The most publicly accessible and least "grey area" version will be one from WayBackMachine.
  16. Hmmmmm. Now that you mention it, maybe yeah. I might be hockey ambidextrous. Canada, eh?
  17. I've got something in my front pocket for yoooooou... It's Trip World on the Game Boy!
  18. Yo what the heck is this? CIVILITY!? BANNED!
