  1. Similar to Other Doug, as he should be called, I played a lot as a kid and also am able to get through without waiting. I only actually learned about that through NA referencing the Mexican Runner, and promptly went "aw come on", lamenting the hours and hours of playing the game to brute force my way through it.
  2. This is the case, yeah. It takes like 15 minutes or so of sitting in a safe spot, then the enemies reset to base difficulty (i.e. level 1). Makes speedrunning the game a bitch.
  3. Spanky's Quest SNES CIB View Advert Looking to buy a nice CIB copy of Spanky's Quest. Please provide photos and your asking price. I'm pretty flexible and willing to pay for quality. Advertiser Gloves Date 01/04/2021 Price $100.00 Category WTB
  4. I tell him to get to the back of the line and I call the police if it escalates beyond that.
  5. The original Final Fantasy, if we're counting every release as the same game (I would). Otherwise Majora's Mask, as I always play that on N64 (excluding the 1 time I played through on 3DS).
  6. I think the cases where CIB, or more likely Loose, are the only options, I think I have no issue really. We're talking NWC carts and such at that point, and yeah there's at least some argument to be made for preservation in that regard. But if we're talking grading a nice CIB Batman Returns, I just see that as a nice playable copy someone is now going to miss out on. And it sucks too cuz these games WERE within the realm of affordability for picking up a really nice CIB, AND being able to play your nice copy. I'm glad I picked up the games I did prior to the recent hikes, but man there's some relatively obscure shit I'm after at this point that is just getting so painfully expensive.
  7. With regard to grading CIBs, I don't personally care who is doing it, I don't hate one company or the other for doing it. I just don't like that it's done at all.
  8. Having a package's tracking number really does nobody any good, to my knowledge. I'd not freak out about that.
  9. It's cool that things exist in pristine condition, but their current condition has no bearing whatsoever on the history of the item.
  10. Could have set a better example obviously, but that's almost every situation - coulda been more perfect. Calmly closing the distance (up to 6+ feet still) and stating that you simply have rules for your children that you don't intend to break would have been probably ideal. She can do what she wants within the law, but when it comes to YOUR kids' safety, you are following a more stringent set of rules, and that is well within your rights.
  11. I mean, to be fair, a ding on a Nintendo game box isn't exactly going to "destroy history".
  12. I beat Totally Rad, if that's not been done yet.
  13. I'm still personally pretty anti-slabbing CIBs. There are those of us who collect CIB because we like to play the games, and I for one like mine to be in excellent condition. More and more excellent condition copies getting slabbed cuz everyone wants to play babies first collectible investment is starting to get on my nerves. The worst part is that normally sealed copy prices wouldn't impact CIB prices so heavily. But with both being slabbable (lol slabbable) it puts them all in kinda the same basket, so now people will advertise their Cibs as being good grading prospects, blurring the line between CIB and sealed. Fuck that, man.
  14. That seems like a pretty obvious flaw lmao. You certainly don't need a magnifying glass to see that.
  15. They have human eyes. And they've been shown to have missed things in the past plenty.
  16. I saw this on Youtube yesterday; very cool.
  17. It's perfectly fine to share your eBay profile/links.
