  1. Oh, and you should be able to change the thread name, are you sure?
  2. @spacepup might like to see some of this stuff, perhaps.
  3. Can anyone suggest good Switch games for this? Entertaining to watch stuff. I've got my switch hooked up now so I can stream it, so I'd like to use it as a sort of work horse if I can.
  4. That was my concern as well. Like I might say Majora's Mask. But would I TRULY appreciate it in the same way today if playing it for the first time? Probably not. Part of the experience of being a dumb kid is just that - I was a dumb kid when I first played it. I rented it two weekends in a row and neither time was able to even leave Clock Town, I just couldn't figure out wtf I was supposed to do. But I loved the look, feel, and overall mood of the game, so I just hung around Clock Town, talking to all the NPCs. I knew what everyone said different every day, I knew everyone's patterns, where they went, how they changed, how each and every one of them reacted to their impending doom. Clock Town for me is full of humanity because of this, every jumble of polygons a living breathing being. And when I DID find my way out of Clock Town, I put the same thought into every other area of the game. I'd never put THAT much time and effort into the starting area of a game today.
  5. This is not a thing that can be done, no. I'd argue against it if it were anyway, as people edit posts all the time - the active threads feed would become rather jumbled. Best thing to do honestly is just bump the thread as you'd normally do, and direct people to check the updated OP.
  6. As I say, I've contacted IPS support. Seems to be a bug, I'm sure they'll get back to me soon.
  7. The weird thing is I haven't even edited the template file it's talking about. There must be some bug.
  8. It might be due to a plugin update, seems to be happening more often the last day or two. I'll have to report it to Invision.
  9. I'm getting entirely different ads for the same word.
  10. By the way, if this time next year I'm not able to draw banners for myself, somebody kick my ass.
  11. Huge thanks to @CasualCart for donating his art to the cause! It's that time of year again! As with every year for the last 8 years, I am participating in Extra Life! On November 7th 2020 I will be playing games live on Twitch for 24 straight hours, raising money for Sick Kids. Make a Donation! Here's the quick n' dirty deets: When: November 7th, 2020 Starting around 8am, EST Where: Twitch! Join me at this link: https://www.twitch.tv/glovesoffgames Donations: Handled through Extra Life Donate here: http://extra-life.org/participant/douglasglover ALL proceeds go toward helping kids in need! Note: You don't HAVE to donate ON Game Day; I can take donations any day of the year, so feel free to toss a coin to your Witcher whenever you feel the urge. This is a cause that is very close to my heart; kids should be the last to suffer, yet many battle through significant hardships well outside of their comprehension and ability to manage alone. Your donations really do go a long way to help make the Childrens' Miracle Network Hospitals better able to accommodate their needs during the hard times. This year the state of things has kept me quite busy so I've not been able to really come up with an hour-by-hour plan or anything (not that I ever really follow one anyway!), but per usual I am happy to follow a "Donate and I will play your game of choice" kind of approach. I of course will have games at the ready for the lulls, but there's always that incentive. If you have any ideas of how I might spice things up I'm all ears! Custom Art Auction! Speaking of spicing things up - that banner looks pretty rad, amirite? It was made by our resident art guy (title pending) CasualCart! And this year in the name of charity he has offered up his pen for the cause - I will be holding an auction here on VGS for 1 week leading up to and ending on November 7th (Game Day!), with the winner receiving a custom piece created for you by CasualCart! There will of course be some stipulations regarding content, but I'll have those ironed out for you all in the auction thread when the time comes. I'm looking forward to another Game Day chilling with you all, playing games and having a good time. I'll update you all in this thread with any news, and the occasional reminder!
  12. Nay. Though I'd not be against the idea of it, assuming a "set" is not an ever-growing thing.
  13. I did! You had a good like 5 whole seconds before I popped on your account!
