  1. Got sucked back into Apex Legends, but I'm gonna go cold turkey on it again. Just sucks up too much of my time and energy.
  2. Last MGS I saw at around the same grade went for I think just over $1k USD. Bit out of my acceptable range lol.
  3. Hmmmmm another sealed Metal Gear Solid... This auction actually has a number of games I'd personally be interested in, but I'm absolutely not alone in my interest in these games, so no way in hell I end up getting them.
  4. Still say ya shoulda moved to Toronto but WHATEVER.
  5. Oooohhhh or it could be a contest. Whoever gets the most points gets a CUSTOMIZED VGS LABEL EVERDRIVE. That might be an idea.
  6. If we clear the whole 64 library in 2020 I'll buy someone an ever drive.
  7. Databases of video games and such are definitely on the list. I'd just ask for patience. We don't want to spread ourselves or the community too thin, and we want to do things as close to "right" as we can. The stores database is the first step in that direction. I do really appreciate the enthusiasm and eagerness to help and build out the data and everything, it's really amazing to see. We'll get there! We've already come a fair way considering we're a few months old.
  8. I use Backloggery. I don't care about the value of my collection though.
  9. I was merely pointing out there that those things are not immediate priorities for us here. Anyone with time and dedication could make a GVN clone/competitor. We've got people here making literal NES homebrews. That's WAY more effort to learn than pulling data from ebay daily, storing it in a database, then posting that data to a webpage.
  10. I bit the bullet and ordered an N64 Everdrive so I can play the games I'm not quite willing to buy and keep. Will save me money in the long run!
  11. That is absolutely what has/will happen. It was mined for data for GC's own tool. I've been telling people to stop using GVN for months now.
  12. Expensive way to corner the market considering anyone else could hop in and make a competitor. The historical data is the main value really, and I mean... it's not illegal to scrape sites in the US. So... Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, nor an American.
  13. For the sake of keeping things together, I've merged the two threads talking about this as the situation has evolved.
  14. It's just not something I'd imagine GC wanting to be known. Generally when you try to buy something, get turned down, then go buy that thing's competitor, you want people to think that you consider your purchase a "win", not a sloppy second choice.
  15. I wasn't aware that was public knowledge. And by GVN you mean GC.
  16. To my knowledge PC hasn't been purchased, and I have no reason to believe that GC went and bought that too since their only real goal was the data from GVN so they could make their own service. Unless they literally went and bought PC and just took both down to eliminate all the competition. I'm not sure they'd do that, but I can't guarantee they wouldn't either.
  17. Update on this one: While responding to them regarding what version of FF this happens on, I went to check what version I was on (and having an issue with), and it prompted an update to Firefox. I went from version 71 (where I was having the issue, as shown above) to 72. Once upgraded to FF 72, the problem stopped happening for me. So I believe it's simply a matter of... update your FireFox to the latest version if you're having this issue!
  18. Update: Submitted a ticket to Invision and linked them to this thread for reference. Hello Invision support!
