  1. So Limited Run just released Gal Gunvolt Burst on PS4 along with Mighty Gunvolt Burst on Switch..... Is Gal Gunvolt included on the Switch version or are they going to release Gal Gunvolt on Switch later??
  2. Purple border Megaman 6 is the most legendary variant in my opinion
  3. Still waiting on developers to leak some info on a new dev kit.. haven’t heard anything yet. In my opinion, with the strong demand shown for the Switch v2 over this whole pandemic and the fact that production has just now started flowing again, I think there’s still a few more months of guaranteed console sales before demand is back in equilibrium. That gets us to the holiday season. And once you get to the holiday season, there’s some more guaranteed sales.. So they can’t announce a new console prior to the holiday season. That would basically slam the brakes on all of these sales that they can expect from Switch v2 between now and the end of Q4. I think that if they do have something to announce regarding a new system, they will announce it no earlier than Q1 2021.
  4. Item is no longer available... did this actually sell for 750k ?
  5. Loose cart prices are: Zombie Nation $250, Dragon Fighter $350, Power Blade 2 $400, Snow Bros $200, Megaman 5 $80. That’s the pre-covid prices for these games, with the exception of Megaman 5 they’re currently each listing for +$100 more per title. If the boxes were in good condition they’d likely go for the same price as the games. So I’d say around at least $1200 worth of cardboard (in good condition).. since they are all cut up, I would think $200 is a reasonable asking price. By the way seller is taking offers so probably would accept less than that. Maybe if you already have everything you ever wanted in your collection you won’t see the appeal in this, but looks like a good value in my opinion.
  6. I wonder if it’s just as simple as pulling the price of all the individual games and adding them together. A variable in favor of higher prices is the convenience factor of getting it all in one place without having to put in any of the work of collecting the items. Although the relative infrequency of full set sales could also be a variable in favor of pricing it lower. I think it’s like selling real estate. There’s a reference price, but in the end the house could sell higher or lower depending on market conditions.
  7. Yes it’s damaged, but it’s still original. Some would value it because they are genuine and a common thing that was done for rentals at the time. Kind of like how some people value rental stickers vs others who want them removed. To each his own.
  8. Yes, I mentioned that. Even so, I’d still buy them if my spare money wasn’t already allocated to other items. If I owned the games, this would be a “good enough” alternative to unmutilated cardboard
  9. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Offer-Lot-with-6-rare-boxes-for-Nes-games-Power-Blade-2-Zombie-Nation-Etc/274460874873?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D0a7e8b9260bb4fa3a235c2577d2fa645%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dnone%26sd%3D274460874873%26itm%3D274460874873%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A67e86789-e708-11ea-8ae1-74dbd180f5ad|parentrq%3A2712f4031740aadc43d250cbffffffc2|iid%3A1 Some guy in Brazil selling a bunch of rare NES cardboard. Unfortunately it’s all cut up so that someone could put the games in clamshell rental cases. But they have to be worth more than what he’s asking
  10. I’m not charging for them, just give me your address and pay for shipping and it’s yours. If you want them all you can have them all
  11. How does that work anyways? Can they make him public domain while DC is still actively making new content with him?
  12. The Battletoads gameboy game had shootem up levels.
  13. I get the whole brand confusion thing. But this is a different scenario. Battletoads has its heritage on Nintendo consoles. It has a large fan base that is Nintendo only, and they’re not going to make the crossover to XBox just for one game. Are they going to leave behind all of those fans just to promote XBox, or do they do what’s right for the fans and get the good PR for doing so? I’m sure there’s plenty of other newer game franchises that were created in the early 2000’s that they can keep as exclusives. I think if they really put some thought into this, they’d realize it’s probably a better move to port it over to switch within a year or so. I’m betting they will. Edit: just read that article. In my opinion, that’s a press statement aimed to quell pissed off investors. He doesn’t want people to delay buying a new release in hopes of a potential Switch version. That doesn’t necessarily mean there won’t be a Switch version later, it’s just setting the expectation upfront so that people that are dual platform will proceed to buy it on XBox on day 1, rather than waiting it out to buy on another platform. After reading that, I still think there could be a Switch release. There’s just too many Switch owners to pass up. They just want to be sure that they give all of their XBox users sufficient time to buy on XBox before putting out a Switch version to capture the Switch user base.
  14. What happens if you play a expansion sound game on the North American NES anyways? Does the sound glitch out?? I was thinking maybe it was like master system FM sound. On master system some games have the FM sound available but if your system can’t play the extra sounds, then it just sounds like normal sound without the extra sound channels.
  15. I’ll pick it up when it comes to Switch
  16. There certainly is a solution to this problem, although I don’t know how realistically retro-bit or iam8bit would consider it. They could make a simple resistor board that plugs into the bottom of the NES and bundle it along with Gimmick.. These boards have been successfully made by modders and give you a way to experience expansion sound without doing any permanent changes to your North American NES system Remember, retro-bit has the deal with Irem they’re charging $60-ish vs iam8bit charging $100.. I dont think either have a Sunsoft deal yet, but extra parts would cut into retro-bits margins harder than iam8bit.. and considering that maybe half of the audience is not playing on an original American NES, probably a waste of resources. But it would be cool. On a side note, looks like retro-bit has already announced Hammerin Harry, Undercover cops, Megaman wily wars, as well as a handful of sought after Genesis re-releases
  17. I doubt Nintendo would want to participate with any of their IP. But all the other publishers seem to be more open to these retro re-releases with their IP. With Capcom and Irem already onboard, there’s no reason why we can’t have Sweet Home, Corcoran, Hammerin Harry, and Kung Fu 2 (Spartan X2). It’s just a matter of time.. if they don’t make these it’s a missed opportunity. If someone could reach out to Konami (including Hudson) you could finally get an “official” NA release Getty’s Fuumaden, Kid Dracula, Gradius 2, Adventure island 4 And of course Sunsoft could give us a Mr Gimmick And Sunman.. why not, they are already putting their games on these cheapo emulator machines in Walmart..
  18. Definitely not coming off as snobbish. Im openly inviting all criticisms to the discussion. Sometimes the harshest folks are the most genuine and enlightening. Bring it on!
  19. I also want one of the Chinese Zeldas. Didn’t realize they are really rare. I imagine the box is, but I think I saw the cart on eBay once. fyi this one is in my saved searches
  20. Haha. Have to admit, when I first watched this video, and Superman turned gold, I busted out laughing so hard I cried, I had to pause the video for at least minutes before resuming it again. I did not realize golden Superman was actually a real thing.
