  1. Here’s some other various refurbished items I’ve seen which I am not so interested in collecting :
  2. @0xDEAFC0DE Here it is. It still has the original barcode, but then they plant a sticker with a new code on top of it. Its strange, a lot of the games don’t have a sticker with a new code.. Zelda does though... And on some games, the sticker is on the paper, on some the sticker is on the plastic
  3. Ah I though I had posted my NSMBU+Luigi U. Must have missed that one.. Dang now I need to hunt for Zelda windwaker hd. That’s awesome to know it exists. The red stripe is printed onto the cover art. Also the cover art seems to be a lower grade of paper than the retail versions.
  4. I don’t have them all. I am aware that John Hancock has the Wonderful 101. I saw it on one of his videos: ***Edit: I just noticed after posting this that John Hancocks Wonderful 101 has a sticker seal if you look real closely at the right side.*** There could be other Wii/ Wii U refurbished titles that I’m not aware of. I vaguely remember seeing Luigi U on Nintendo’s website, but it could have been NSMBU+Luigi U. I don’t remember and it sold before I was ready to buy it. Some old forum had people talking about these and they mentioned some other titles I don’t have: I have seen pics of Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Zelda OOT 3D online. I can’t find the Phantom Hourglass pic anymore. Someone on NA back in the day mentioned having Mario vs Donkey Kong DS. I tried to contact him to buy it, but by that time he was no longer an active member. If you know of other titles, I’d love to see them!
  5. I picked up some games second hand so can’t say if they ever received a wrap-sealed version. My Metroid Prime is not sealed, but I’ve seen listings for it as having the sticker seal. Check out the giant sticker seal on Zelda:
  6. This is a sealed game. Notice the sticker seal on Mario and on Pikmin 3. These are authentic as I am the original purchaser. I ordered them direct from Nintendo and I still have the invoices to prove it.
  7. I’ve been enjoying myself collecting refurbished Wii, Wii U, DS and 3DS games for a couple years now. There doesn’t seem to be much info available on them online, so I was hoping to start some discussion here. In 2015, when Wii U sales were stagnant, I guess Nintendo decided to try and boost their revenue by offering refurbished games. Some came sealed just as new games, some just had little stickers to seal the case:
  8. Yea when I bought, “sealed/graded mania” was just taking off and people were flipping out that it sold for so much. I didn’t want to be contributing to the mass hysteria around graded games, so I publicly stated my reasoning for buying it.
  9. I was thinking 30 is just about the largest number of games you’d want to feature in a product. You know “less is more.” Once you get many more than that, it’s too many to scroll through and you probably won’t actually play them as much. Also, for the third party games, they have to pay licensing fees to put them onto the system.. having double the number of third party titles might keep them from being able to maintain the same price point.
  10. The WATA error graded “CIB” Zelda with no manual. It’s not my favorite item but it’s one that I feel has some historical significance.. don’t know if Wata has already done others this way, but this one became a piece of controversy back on NintendoAge when it was graded. WATA was asked by the NA community to explain their reasoning and they agreed that it’s better to not grade them this way. So as a result of the minor uproar this piece caused they changed their grading system. In the world of coin collecting it’s very rare when the US Mint screws something up, so when they do the piece is considered a rarity. I know this is not the Mint we’re talking about here, but rather a grading authority. But still, if WATA becomes real big deal in the future, then this is a neat little controversial piece that caused some changes in their early history.
  11. Shipping insurance. Just take pics before shipping. If it gets damaged, get the buyers damage pics and messages from the buyer and make an insurance claim with the shipping company. Make sure you purchase the correct insurance policy, I think if you don’t buy it , then coverage is limited to like $200
  12. I’m more interested in Mario Odyssey 64. I wonder if that can be played on real hardware
  13. Hypothetically, if Nintendo were to do a rev2 NES classic mini, what 30 games would realistically be on it? They wouldn’t include any of the original 30.. The games would have to have minimal licensing issues (Ninja Turtles and movie franchises are probably out). They would have to mostly be developed by Nintendo. There would have to be a diverse blend of genres... Not just all sides rolling platformers. Some 3rd party’s that seem to be licensing a lot of their stuff out nowadays are Irem, Capcom, Data East, Technos
  14. I think that there are still a lot of people doing very financially well with stocks, due to market inflation, so they’ll keep buying up the collectibles for now. But when (and if) the real economy really starts to breakdown, it’s gonna take the stock market down with it. Then a lot of people who are not properly invested will be doing financial damage control and collectibles will come way down
  15. It’s the roaring 2020’s. People are spending lavishly on collectables. Sell em if you got em.. They buy it all back for pennies during the depression
  16. Hmm... does PAL region have issues or is it just me? Joe and Mac Congos Caper Joe and Mac 3
  17. I can’t agree with this. There have already been play through videos using the Rush Jet soundtrack made in past years that just had the music on mute and then the soundtrack was inserted via video editing software. That’s old news. The end result is the same, you can’t tell the difference when watching it. The only way I knew the soundtrack was in the rom file for this video is because I read the comments and Satoshi Matrix states that he hacked the rom to include the soundtrack. Hard for me to accept that the finished product is a video, when he has a fully playable rom. That’s like Nintendo programming the next Zelda game but saying they’re not going to release it on switch, instead they’re only going to release a play through video of it on DVD
  18. Well what a tease! Did he really put in all the hours to create this to just keep it to himself? And then to spite us by showing off the finished product while not making it available?? Maybe we’d have been better off if he just kept this to himself He should really consider working out a deal with Rushjet to get his approval to put it out along with his soundtrack. And as for the ethics of putting a rom out there.. you know Capcom don’t care about this
  19. Don’t know if you all have been following what’s been going on with chiptunes, but an artist going by the name of Rushjet has been recreating Megaman NES tunes with VRC6 sound for years now. He’s been refining his tunes over the years and now has a pretty impressive soundtrack. I’ve always asked what’s it going to take to get these VRC6 chiptunes inserted into the rom. People have always said you’d have to rewrite the Megaman rom files using VRC6 mapper which would be so extensive that nobody would want to do it. Well some guy going by Satoshi Matrix has been posting videos online showing Megaman 3 Improvement by Kuja killer play throughs with Rushjets VRC6 soundtrack running on it. In the comments, Satoshi claims to have hacked the rom, converted it to VRC6 and then inserted the soundtrack.. however he will not release the rom due to the fact that it is not his work... Do you all think this is for real or is this just a regular play through with music on mute and the enhanced sound spliced in with video edit software? If this is for real, I need that on a cartridge. What’s it gonna take to get that into a cart???
  20. What about Neo Geo pocket color Power Fighters? That’s a must have in my opinion. Also, on Xbox there was a physical release including MM10 on a Capcom collection disc Edit: actually looking back at it, mega man 10 was a digital download, all the other games were disc though
