  1. Terraonion doesn’t work with the duo systems does it? I thought it only worked with the base card systems. So can’t play physical cd’s with it.
  2. ***Edit: I’ll waste no more time uploading these phots.. apparently someone has already documented all of these screens in high definition here: http://www.vgmuseum.com/features/warn/ If you pop a Gameboy Color exclusive game into a regular gameboy, you get a screen that tells you it only plays on Gameboy color. Some of these screens are simply text, others actually have some artwork. I figured I wouldn’t be able to upload them all, so maybe we can work together to find out what some of the more interesting ones are?
  3. I remembered seeing this image. Also the pin set that we are getting is called pin set #1 and it only includes the first 5 pins.. So it would seem that there will be a pin set #2 that contains the latter 5 pins
  4. I got my code but it wont let me add the the pins to my shopping cart. I swear Nintendo does this stuff on purpose to get free publicity. Look now we’re all talking about Nintendo. Nintendo Nintendo Nintendo
  5. Walmart is supposed to give stickers (apparently a “preorder” bonus). Gamestop gives joycon skins (in-store only I think). Target was giving away magnets.. Best Buy and Amazon.... both of them thank you for your purchase https://nintendowire.com/guides/super-mario-3d-all-stars/pre-order-bonuses/
  6. It would be interesting to find out how many people are going to buy a switch for the first time before end of March in order to get this game and play it
  7. I actually don’t know if it’s legit from the time period or if someone made it after the fact. But from what I understand, it’s a true story. You’ll often hear Miyamoto refer back to Popeye when he talks about the ideas leading up to Mario also. Just imagine the hammer being a can of spinach and Popeye arm getting jacked when he’s punching barrels
  8. It would make a great retirement home for Shigeru Miyamoto
  9. Had Nintendo secured the Popeye license, as Donkey Kong was being developed, Mario probably would not exist.
  10. On Arcade he was Jumpman. On Atari he was Mario
  11. Letgo died a while back. OfferUp was good but started slowing down, I think their audience moved to Mercari. Now letgo and offerup are merged, but I don’t think they’re gonna gain steam. Mercari is just so clean looking and easy to use. I’m always finding all the new stuff on there.. from time to time I’ll still look at letgo/offerup but it’s really a ghost town for retro games. I would just do Mercari and eBay. They both allow you to cancel sales in case the item has become unavailable, although it may end up hurting you if you do that too often. Amazon is without doubt the largest online market place, but I feel that people will only pay a premium for retro games if they can actually see the item, which happens to be something Amazon does not do well. Amazon is best for selling new items
  12. I’ve made a Japan eshop account. You have to use a different email address that’s what you are using for you American eshop account. Also, they don’t take most American credit cards, so you have to go to playAsia and buy Japan eshop credit and manually load it to your account. But besides that, you can have multiple different eshop accounts tied to a single switch. And once you buy a game with any account, it is playable by all accounts on your Switch. It’s actually pretty streamlined. Id imagine the process is same for New Zealand
  13. Apparently some YouTuber is suggesting ordering it online tomorrow morning at 7am (US time) from New Zealand eshop to get it early. Pretty clever eh?
  14. I am hopeful for a full screen update to Mario 64
  15. 100 percented Mario 64 too many times. By the time Sunshine came out, I was on fence about whether I’ve had it with video games.. that was a dark period. Me and my bro’s beat sunshine but it was a strange enough game that I was mostly turned off to gaming after around that time. So by the time Wii came out my brother played Galaxy And I’d watch sometimes but never really played it. Fast forward to collecting years and I’ve given the first few levels of Galaxy a try and yes it’s awesome. Wish it came out when I was a kid and had time to REALLY play it. Since Switch is handheld I’ll be finally beating Galaxy.
  16. Strange.. people are buying this game on eBay for $140+ even while it is still available for preorder at retail pro e from Best Buy
  17. At this point it’s too early to say. You could be right, but we should at least play the game before making conclusive statements
  18. Maybe they are going for better-than-perfect with this
  19. Now that I think of it, Nintendo already made an N64 emulator on Wii and on GameCube. I have no doubt they made a fresh N64 emulator to run on Switch. But if they wanted to go truly cheap, they could have just done the GameCube and Wii emulator. Then they could take Ocarina of Time on GameCube and swap the rom with Mario 64. Or they could have run Mario 64 on Wii virtual console. The fact that they made a new emulator on Switch makes me think that they have more plans for the N64 emulator than just this one game
