  1. Well, I guess we'll see how my alma mater fares with your old OC.
  2. That'll make Fickell a top candidate for any power 5 school needing a coach.
  3. Not Washington, unless they really tank under Lake. USC, maybe, but I doubt Fleck leaves anytime soon. The B1G West is pretty wide open and he should be able to contend there.
  4. Just finished this, a worthy sequel to the original. Hard to believe it's been 50 years.
  5. For stuff that can ship cheaply or flat rate, that's true; just add the shipping cost to the item price. The cost of shipping something big and heavy, however, varies considerably with distance. Sending a 30 pound monitor costs over $80 cross country, but only about $30 in state. To offer 'free shipping', I'd have to overcharge nearby buyers or take a loss on a cross country buyer. If you advocate for free shipping, you're really asking for higher prices as most sellers roll the highest possible shipping charge into the item's price.
  6. Memphis put up a pretty good fight. I think they represented the AAC well and should be proud of thier season.
  7. Mario's Tennis for the Virtual Boy, Donkey Kong & DKjr for Colecovision, Pac-man for Atar 5200, Pole Position II for Atari 7800. In fact, given the high failure rates for a lot of old machines, you could name just about any pack-in game from back then.
  8. A working Commodore 65. Basically useless, I know, but I want one SO bad.
  9. Your favorite thrift has extended its closing date to Jan 11th instead of the previously announced Dec 31.
  10. Prices are all over the place here. Most CD/DVD games are $2.99, but carts, especially anything Nintendo, get 'market' priced, usually at ~50-70% of the going online rate. Sometimes they screw up and their prices get ridiculous (one Value Village was trying to sell a loose SNES Pilotwings for $99.99). There are a couple local stores that use flat rate pricing (usually $3) for carts, but they so rarely get anything in that it doesn't really matter. I'm so glad I got 90% of my collecting done back when the standard price was $0.39 at the local Goodwill and $0.99 at most other thrifts.
  11. https://www.team6502.org/ Just learned that Chuck Peddle, driving force behind the development of the 6502 processor used in the NES, Commodore 64, and many others, passed away recently. RIP Mr Peddle, you changed the world.
  12. Old computers and calculators. I used to collect coins as a kid but got bored with it.
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlIs27Z5Hrk Wait, how do I embed again?
  14. Well, this one probably isn't one-of-a-kind, but nobody else on the PCjr forums has ever seen one, so there's that. I always enjoyed the irony of a Disk Operating System being put on a cartridge.
  15. Sega Master for me. Was barely aware of the existence of this system at the time, and now that I've started delving into the extensive non-US library it's even more impressive.
  16. I think that's six top-5 teams that have lost to unranked opponents so far this season. I'm loving it.
  17. A lot of the issue stems from the early signing period in mid December. A coach who's changing schools can't be recruiting for his new school while still working for his old one. Frost didn't really have that issue because the early signing period didn't exist when he was moving to Nebraska. I don't know why they don't ban all recruiting between the end of the season and the last of the bowl games.
  18. But it's a late December trip to Detroit! How can you pass that up?
  19. I find it funny that Ohio State, with a cast-off Georgia QB, and Oklahoma, with an ex-Alabama QB, are (probably) going to the playoffs while Alabama & Georgia aren't.
  20. I'm most impressed that none of the folk in the mail system made off with it.
  21. Atari 2600 Magnavox Odyssey2 Mattel Intellivision Nintendo Wiiu (really!) Sony PS2 Xbox OG Neo geo Pocket Color Commodore 128 Trs80 CoCo3 NEC TG16 Tiger: nope, can't do it Sega CDX Fairchild channel F system 2 Timex/Sinclair 2068 Those are the only multi-system companies in my collection (I think)
  22. Adult Swim has recently appeared as a channel on my Roku. I've enjoyed catching up on Robot Chicken but am not familiar with most of thier other offerings. Suggestions?
