Theres always going to be more to buy. More holes to fill. Unfortunately, must of that is too $$ and was probably never getting filled anyways. I was always on the lookout for interesting new NES cibs but the ones I really wanted to make progress on, the black boxes, I was kind of at a sticking point price wise anyways. The one I most regret not being able to add to my collection was Balloon Fight. Ooh yeah, also silver Konami titles. Need more of those. Also, I really would have liked to have finished the mainline Dragon Quest games. But, those DS titles just ruin it. Why am I paying as much for them as CIB NES Dragon Warriors? Who are these freak shows driving up the prices on these things? Who the hell has even heard of a Nintendo DS? Is that like a Gameboy? Like just call it Gameboy then. Some bullshit. I’m not actively buying now and if my collection sits forever as is I guess that would be fine.

Back in the early 2000s they toured like crazy. Saw them like 5 times over the course of like 2 years. The last show of theirs I ever went to they had really started to blow up and did not play Crushing Belial. I never went to another show lol.

Nope. It’s not for me but I do see why some people would. I’ve got some that are in really beautiful shape and I’m just no good about being paranoid about any of them. If the kids or I want to play them I’m still going to whip them out. They’re in box protectors; that’s good enough right? I’m probably actually even more careful with my copies that are a little more beat up lol …must…not…lose…the flaps.

The last few I went to Within Temptation Iron Maiden Gaslight Anthem Zeal & Ardor Blue Oyster Cult Titus Andronicus Amon Amarth/Carcass/Obituary/Cattle Decapitation Having Iron Maiden and Amon Amarth so close together really highlighted that AA has become melodic deathmetal Iron Maiden. Unfortunately did not get pics of Johan whacking the giant foam Jormungandr with a giant foam hammer.

Agree. All the variant and print run stuff is just clutter to me. If it were to start out hidden and could be like dropped down that would be great. I would imagine this is the case for the majority of collectors.

I collect very few imports and as such when I go out of my way to do so I want the spine card with it if that came with it. I can see it being less important if you have volume but when you’re only interested in a handful of titles I want all the bits.

I don’t know that many here don’t hold Dain culpable for what happened. Either way it doesn’t matter anymore. VGS is just better. A mature collecting community for mature collectors .

I did but not for the reasons you’d think. We get along pretty well and I think his shit is usually pretty entertaining. But, I feel like he deserves proper recognition for his efforts and achievements in the field.
