  1. Should be time period appropriate. Crystal Pepsi.
  2. I love the whole jazz fusion vibe they’ve got going on. In college I had a roommate/bass player who got me into them. He was always randomly into japanese things. He is single handedly responsible for the entirety of my anime knowledge (Except for that @Gloves movie I watched one time). Oh and we were pretty big into X-Japan for a minute. Ahh good times.
  3. When I’m collecting CIB I only need it to have cart instructions and box. The extra paperwork is a bonus but obviously preferred. But I’m also not sending them to be graded. If I’m buying a graded CIB game that is entombed in plastic I would certainly expect it to be Complete. Otherwise you are implicitly suggesting that the complete contents hold no value. That is just not true. Whether they care enough to pay the extra $$ or not I have a hard time believing there are CIB collectors that don’t place a premium on copies having the complete contents.
  4. clearly i didn’t do that right 2nd edit: got it. Imgur it is.
  5. I like their sound and radio hits. She’s got a nice voice. I voted 7...maybe?
  6. How does one not notice that every other post on the old site is “OMG what happened to NA?!” followed almost every time by some explanation and ultimately a link to this site?
  7. I think it’s stupid. Dane and Lil Jeffy raped it, killed it, and buried it in the swamp. Just let it go. Didn’t any of you MFers see Pet Semetary?
  8. Lighter weight would mean it uses less fuel to ship.
  9. We started out with the cartons and switched to the bags in middle school maybe? I’m not sure. It’s an obscure detail of my life to remember. Ever rinsed the milk pitcher out and used it for your Molson?
  10. I’ve only played the first 3. I like the original best. So many of those levels are completely iconic for me. That snow level with the incrementally worse weather? Fuhget about it.
  11. Yup that’s the face she makes. I saw it once. Like Bigfoot.
  12. This all seems reasonable. This just made me think; have you ever considered going PBS here and doing some sort of pledge drive? Maybe on a night when the highest percentage of VGSers are likely to be inebriated?
  13. I went with shelving. Always jealous of the dudes with the cool custom shelves and stuff. I think nice lighting is important too to really accent them. I was always a big fan of @NintendoTwizer ‘s work. After that I’d say arcade cabs and pinball tables really make me stop and look. I think that twinkling, arcadey look really sets off a mountain of games nicely. I’m fairly certain mildly hopeful that as the kids get older I’ll be able to convince my wife to let me get a MAME cabinet.
  14. I’d like to hear what elements in a collection display really make them stand out for you? What makes you stop and say whoa? I’m sure it’s multiple things, but I guess choose the most integral part.
  15. First thing that came to mind. I don’t know enough of the origin story to even know if this is the kind of thing you’re looking for. https://vgcollect.com/item/6236 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Best-Buy-PlayStation-PS1-Greatest-Hits-Demo-Disc-Rare-/154102353424?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
  16. I went with PSX. I played the NBA Shootout demo to death when I got it. It’s just like playing basketball with LEGO Shaq in real life. NHL Faceoff was awesome too. I was always a big fan of the Genesis NHL games. And at the time to me this seemed like a logical progression. I also had a lot of fun with Gameday. It seemed so realistic when it came out. There was so much depth that it blew my little mind. Can’t comment on any baseball games because baseball sucks. Unfortunately, I don’t know that most of these have much replay value today. New sports games are basically these games with better graphics, physics, and modes of play. Speaking of which I’ve got like a dump truck full of PlayStation sports games if anyone is looking for some. N64 had some killer arcade type sports games with the Mario stuff too. Mario Tennis is one of my all time favorites. I also was a big fan of Mario golf. If I had friends I would totally bust out a game of Mario Tennis right now. P.S. I’m a firm believer that no one has ever made a better hockey game than NHL 94.
  17. Seems the crossover between people who’ve seen the latest movies and people who obsessively hoard 30 year old electronics is somewhat lacking
