I'd offer to help with that but Snowboard Kids isn't one I own either. -

Jeez, at this rate I won't have any fighting games to knock off. Keep going, I hate fighting games -
Multiplatform Weekly Contest Round 3: Frostbite (Atari 2600)

I presume that was one of the Atari games that survived your purge then? If not you can borrow my copy. -
So I've got factory sealed US copies of Cosmic Spacehead and Fantastic Dizzy for the Game Gear that I am considering parting ways with, but I can't find much recent sales data for them. A CIB US copy of Spacehead sold recently for about £700, and a US Dizzy cart and manual sold at £80, but neither give an indication about sealed copies. Pricecharting only has one sold CS sealed showing, but its from 2010 and obviously far out of date. And Dizzy is showing no sales at all. So yeah, anyone in the know have any idea what I should be asking for them? Or would potentially have interest in one or both?

Or in the case of the man who gifted us with a blog about his poop, randomly show up and rant about it and a bunch of other loosely related yet trivial things. God I missed Port -
List of NES Games (North America)
the_wizard_666 commented on ThePhleo's blog entry in ThePhleo's Blog
No sweat, we all make mistakes I only found that out a few years ago myself...always just assumed it was a mistake on the PAL exclusive list. -
I can't comment on the prices as I've had them so long that even those prices sound insane to me, but unlicensed generally does poorly ever since the influx of "screw unlicensed" sentiment that started around 2009 or so and has stuck around ever since. I agree that HES is pretty interesting, but it may be a hard sell in North America seeing as they were PAL only releases (IIRC they were Australia-specific, though I could be mistaken on that). Definitely some cool titles in the catalogue though.

List of NES Games (North America)
the_wizard_666 commented on ThePhleo's blog entry in ThePhleo's Blog
Actually, they're completely different games. Tecmo Cup Soccer Game is the US port of Captain Tsubasa for the Famicom. Tecmo World Cup Soccer is a Famicom/PAL port of the arcade game Tekhan World Cup Soccer. They're two completely separate games with very similar titles...though only one should be on the US list anyway. -
Best / Worst Video Game Titles

I always thought that Fox had the rights to the movie, and the game came out roughly half-way between the movie and it's first sequel. It was only now that I discovered that Fox basically ripped it off when I researched it a bit more. Damn. -
List of NES Games (North America)
the_wizard_666 commented on ThePhleo's blog entry in ThePhleo's Blog
Dude, instead of expecting people to compare lists, why don't you just list the entries you believe are omitted. It'd make it far more readable, and so much easier to take into consideration. Though considering even skimming managed to turn up one game that was not released in North America (Devil World), I'm going to presume the difference is likely all mistakes anyway. -

It's not so bad if you work against the Spanish. You can take ports and install governors from other nations so you can have a base, and then raid the Spanish ships, the silver train and the merchant fleet at will. -
The NA database was modified later with more accurate rarities for boxes and manuals. This archive likely came before the bulk of the updates. But it's a great starting point for anyone who wants to restart the database.

The [NOT SO] Definitive Top 50 N64 Games
the_wizard_666 replied to ThePhleo's topic in Collecting Guides
I'm sure there's some great games that I've never played, but from what I have, the only ones I enjoyed are the THQ wrestling games, Harvest Moon 64, Perfect Dark, Conker, and DK64. I'm not big on racing games, so that's around 200 games right off the top. I found the Zelda games to be boring slogs that weren't worth the effort, and Goldeneye was janky and overrated (though in fairness I didn't play it until around 10 years ago...it was likely amazing when it came out). -

I would assume similar to the NES. Retire with the highest rank. This would typically entail finding your family, but can be done without if you score enough points elsewhere. -
The [NOT SO] Definitive Top 50 N64 Games
the_wizard_666 replied to ThePhleo's topic in Collecting Guides
In fairness, as crap as Quest 64 is, it's one of only two true RPGs on the system, the other being the equally atrocious Aidyn Chronicles. And the number of people who wanted ANY RPG would account for a good chunk of the sales figures. -
Nintendo Power Trading Cards 1992-1995

Excitebike What do I have here?

Late to the party, but I say sell it to @Dr. Morbis for a couple bills so we can get it on the sealed contents list. Just saying. -
I would start by checking the bracket key specifically. The cause of the misfire is almost guaranteed to be nearby. It could be as simple as a foreign object stuck under the key that's hitting the mechanism and holding it down. I doubt it's going to be a short, but it's not impossible, but I'd exhaust the potential easy answer before delving into anything on the board or in the wiring. But yeah, I don't the entire thing is borked beyond repair.

Your Favorite Games that You’ll Never Play Again
the_wizard_666 replied to T-Pac's topic in The Gauntlet
That's a game I think every Star Trek fan should play at least once. It's basically what every contemporary Star Trek game should have been. But yeah, it can definitely be a slog, especially early on. I still fire it up on occasion, but I agree that I probably won't ever beat it again.
