  1. I disagree. With guys like @port, @nick , @clawx, and @NESHQ coming out of the woodwork, I have to say this has been the most I've enjoyed anything online in years. Although I definitely agree about WATA and HA being trash.
  2. Incorrect. Centaurs are civilized. Newfies not so much
  3. Taste is subjective. One person can be triggered by something the next thinks is perfectly fine. I'd honestly prefer just to go wherever they crawled out from and join that community.
  4. Oh man, was that at the bottom of a bog or some shit? I've never seen that much crud INSIDE a console before
  5. *sigh* This response is pretty much why my hiatuses go so long these days. We're old, we don't like being told what we can and can't say, especially when it's bloody funny.
  6. NA? Man, most of us are from the pre-NA days, when the database was just a twinkle in @Dain's eye, and a sealed Stadium Events at $3k was a MASSIVE overpayment, as @Bronty was made acutely aware when he bought it.
  7. Hence the "ban-happy" mod issue on NA. Us old farts are flat out assholes to each other, and really always have been
  8. That's what I figured, but there are people that omit it because "it's a variant" (absurd, it came first, so WCTM is the damn variant!), so I was more curious than anything. I don't blame you...either you list it with a "yeah right" caveat, or you leave it off the list. It's actually the last licensed game I need as well, although I don't track licensed and unlicensed separately so even if I got it I wouldn't have a "complete" set in my eyes...but again, that just shows everyone has their own metrics for what is and isn't a full set. Best of luck man, hope you can get to the one-game-off club soon
  9. Nope. Nick was either skcin7 or used his real name. Hounder was a guy named David Pendergast. Was active for years pre-NA, and then at some point he just went bad. Like I say, I have more questions than animosity, as I long ago wrote off the funds he bilked from me.
  10. Oh I know. I just once had a direct line of communication, and now I don't.
  11. Which one? You quoted two but only replied once. I'm guessing Nick, but damn, if Hounder signed up...
  12. I was gonna try and deliver, but sadly I just looked...he's no longer on my Facebook list. Granted, it's been close to a decade since my last chat with him, so I'm not surprised. Just slightly disappointed...that could've been fun
  13. Fuck, might be the only way I can get that explanation I've wanted since the mid 2000s... Hounder, Hounder, Hounder!
  14. Oh man, I missed these posts! Pretty sure you like me about as much as anyone here, but I gotta say I've always loved your posts. Entertaining as fuck!
  15. That's not what I was worrying about though. A bootleg game getting graded happens from time to time, and as was mentioned in the thread, any reputable company would go to great lengths to buy it back to take it out of circulation. What I'm concerned with is a legitimate game getting resealed, then getting graded. The graders claim to be experts on the seal, not on whether a game is or is not a bootleg (although they should at least be able to spot the obvious). But anyone buying a sealed and graded game expects the seal to be legitimate. I feel like a reseal getting through would be far more scandalous to the grading company than a bootleg slipping through the process would be.
  16. I actually didn't know that. But I'm not a sealed guy either, so a lot of stuff like that never hits my radar. But it'd be great to get something like that, crack it open, and actually PROVE that.
  17. That was indeed the Dragster guy. Todd Rogers. EDIT: And he's also fighting a losing battle for defamation against TG for removing his patently obvious fake records, and against Guinness for the same thing. EDIT 2: Fixed the game title. I knew something was off. Thanks @captmorgandrinker
  18. I'm so fat I couldn't tell you how big it is. I haven't seen it in years It could be a footlong and it'd still be functionally useless
  19. From experience, I'd say to keep tabs on the team regardless of whether you set your lines. I've seen guys lose weeks because a guy got hurt and they didn't realize it.
  20. I was actually about to post a thread wondering if there was a VGS hockey league yet or not. Count me in!
