  1. Reed's dirty little secret here is Michael Bolton was a hair rocker in the 70s and early 80s. I'm sure the stuff makes it into his regular rotation. Bolton also auditioned to replace Dio in Black Sabbath so the legend goes. His rocker days aren't too bad, honestly. A sight better than his smooth adult contemporary persona that catapulted him to fame and success.
  2. The best part of that joke is the fact that Michael Bolton (the singer) actually changed his surname from Bolotin to Bolton in the early 80s.

    Cheetos are vegetables, right?
  4. I decided a couple years ago that I'll open the shipping box no matter what. And if it's wrapped, then I'll wait for Christmas to open it. Looks like I gotta wait til Christmas this year.
  5. I tend to agree. Both have contextualized meanings in the realm of video games that don't really carry over to other matters. Retro seems to refer to anything classic. Roughly refereing to the cart based era. If it's new but uses the pixel art aesthetic, I would say it's in the retro style. Repro also has a timeframe context it seems. It's a pirate or bootleg made after the life of the system. Any period productions are strictly pirates. Probably more of a turn to paint pirate carts in more "legitimate" light.
  6. I'd have to defer to @Teh_Lurv. He's just soooo retro.

  8. Thanks for putting this on Jone. Congratulations @RpgCollector!
  9. I can help you with this. First, it has Christmas music, and one of my favorite Christmas tunes to boot: And while it's not an up front theme, the story revolves around family and the reunion of an estranged mom and dad (John and Holly McClane). You have Christmas snow as the movie ends. (Symbolically as the stolen bearer bonds snow down from the top of Nakatomi.) And finally, you have not one but two Christmas miracles. The obvious one as the lone hero defeats the band of terrorist/thieves against all odds. And of course the Christmas miracle that is bestowed upon Hans Gruber as he receives his Christmas wish, the FBI.
  10. Both Die Hard and Die Hard 2: Die Harder are 10s. I watch em both every year and I don't know if there are any other movies I can say that about. The 2 best Christmas movies of alltime and I can't really say one is better than the other. I have some big nostalgia for both flicks. Every year, my dad and I would get together to watch one or the other (or both) and drink beers and eat lit'l smokies. As is tradition.
  11. Oh dang is it not 2 player on the 2600? That's sad.
  12. Pong itself is pretty fantastic and I wish paddle games were still a thing in the modern age. But I'm also pretty sure I have Pong on some Atari multicart. So as a standalone I don't have much interest in a straight Pong machine beyond the historical significance. So I'll have to go for a 3 for the console itself though I'd rate the game at about an 8.
  13. Haha yeah, the flying Medusa heads. Nasty little bitches!
  14. I don't know but I hate it with passion. It's knocked me into countless bottomless pits across many games and consoles.
