  1. Better get on that. Especially if you're having her do some of the work. It took us three weekends. (Barely any time during the week with work and all the extra curriculars.) Nice! The District race is a good time. We had the same experience last year. Our car placed second in the pack. His buddy's car took first and went on to win the District championship. Our car ended up around 10th or so in the district. Really hoping for a better showing this year but there's some pretty competitive dads in the area.
  2. It's racin' season! The boy and I just finished our third Pinewood Derby car and the pack race is next Saturday. This year we made a Bendy and the Ink Machine car. It's considerably thinner than last year's ghost car with a greater weight concentration near the rear axle. Here's all of our cars so far. Anyone racing this year? Any past cars to show off?
  3. VGS already has a calendar. And it's not either of you chuckleheads. https://www.videogamesage.com/calendar/
  4. Overall I give em a 4 but Motownphilly is hype. Really I prefer New Edition, the predecessor and inspiration for the New Jack Swing era whose members spun off with the group Bell Biv DeVoe around the same time. For me, BBD is about on par with Boyz II Men but Bobby really comes on top of the post New Edition era. Boyz II Men have the longevity and fanbase though.
  5. Welcome back! That Star Keeper is something special.
  6. Micro Machines is da best! Also enjoy Bible Adventures.
  7. It's a Nintendo game if it plays on the Nintendo Entertainment System. When I was a kid, that was all the criteria that existed. There was no argument. It was never even a question.
  8. Lol. I definitely like HD movies and streaming services but I miss old tapes, especially the Simpsons and Futurama 6 or 8 hour tapes recorded from tv. I would edit out most of commercials but record the good ones. I also had a ton of the letterbox prerecorded tapes. I'd skip the pan n scan whenever possible.
  9. Poll! I love the AVS on my big screen but if I had the spot for a man cave, I'd do a 27" CRT for Zappper games and pile up some VHS tapes to get that authentic nostalgia feels.
  10. I never said I didn't use jumps. I think that 3MM was about 10 or 15 minutes.
