  1. Great write up on the scene. I often wonder about the beta testing corner. I'm not on social media so my own avenues are pretty limited. But it seemed like testing was more prevalent a few years back. I'd love to see a centralized tester resource available for dev access. And definitely understand the apprehension brewers have with just soliciting the fanbase. I've seen a couple different betas where more than a few testers on the roster offered little feedback or were completely MIA. Devs should be able to ask for a level of commitment as well as non-disclosure from a potential team. Really, feedback should flow both ways. With a centralized resource, developers could give feedback on individual contributions of team members.
  2. I didn't have many Game Boy games as a kid but Kirby was one of em. And I got it not long after release. I kicked the shit outta Kirby. Not that it was difficult. I can't really play OG Game Boy these days but Kirby is a well polished portable platformer. Anyways, I'll go with a 9. Anyone interested in portable gaming history should play it.
  3. Im pretty much with skinny. But I get it. Old people don't have all day to SMB3, myself included. Here's the patch for saves: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2886/
  4. I prefer 3 but World is pretty dope. Matter of fact, it's the last great mainline Mario game. Mario platformers haven't been relevant since.
  5. Earth Defense Force 2017. I could probably give the whole series 10s save a couple entries. It's all the same, really. Splitscreen local coop. 100% destructible environments Blast hoards of giant bugs, spiders, robots, space ships, etc. with an arsenal so big, Schwarzenegger would blush. EDF has it all.
  6. Mega Man 2 and 3. MM2 is a perfect pick up and play sub 60 min game. I know the Metal Blades are a cheap spam weapon but seriously the most fun weapon of the entire series and ranks among the best video game weapons of all time. MM3 is a masterpiece. Improved upon the perfection of MM2 with the added slide and four remixed robot master levels. I prefer 2 over 3 but 3 is a more complete experience. Only complaint really is the Shadow Blade nerfed version of the Metal Blade.
  7. I didn't know you were an investor. Always struck me as an era bootleg/pirates afficianado.
  8. Lol. Where does he keep getting those creamers from?
  9. 2221 I should be voting for Pink Floyd over Journey. I think Comfortably Numb is the better song, but I rarely listen to The Wall and I skip it almost every time. I love the juxtaposition of moods between the soaring highs and the desperate lows and the sinister implication of reliance on drugs. But The Wall is a depressing album so it doesn't get a lot of play from me.
  10. Happy Father's day to all you VGS dads.
  11. I'd also like to play with T Swift's kitties [sic].
  12. When you gonna pop them cherries and open 'em up?
