  1. Hot damn! I am so stoked for Montezuma's Revenge. I'd really like to see a some of the Atari's paddle games ported to the NES so my VAUS controller isn't so lonely. Star Wars: Jedi Arena Kaboom! Astroblast Breakout/Super Breakout Tempest Actually, I'd really like to see an adapter to use the Atari paddles on the NES. They are superior to the VAUS controller imo.
  2. Loopy (not a random person but a very specific person) is associated with the "OEM" per the official change log on the retroUSB site and I quote, NES Mappers v1.30 ------------- - Added many mappers written by loopy https://www.retrousb.com/downloads/powerpakchanges.txt
  3. All I know is I played Castlevania 3 on my PowerPak today and any argument that states otherwise is irrelevant.
  4. Fuck yeah! Montezuma's Revenge rulz!
  5. This is huuuge! Congrats @dra600n on landing Montezuma's Revenge. It's been a minute since I've been this stoked about a homebrew.
  6. I don't really care for RPGs other than Zeldas and FFVII. (Yes, Zeldas are too RPGs, fight me.) I'll probably never play Chrono Trigger but I'm slightly interested because everyone raves about it.
  7. Irregardless, the fact remains. PowerPak plays MMC5 just fine.
  8. Not really hacks rather the community adopting and continuing the project. Brian had already previously included many of loopy's mappers in previous iterations of the official download. If you're going to be all semantic, the PowerPak won't run any games at all natively.
  9. Nice! I just checked yesterday too.
  10. I remember it being great but also haven't watched in 2 decades. I guess it's a 5 by definition.
  11. I literally can't hear the difference between the old and new. It all pretty much sux.
  12. Brian quit working on it long ago. You need loopy's mappers.
  13. This is false. MMC5 has been supported for years. Not initially maybe.
  14. I know. They were huge. Legit good rap. Had a platinum album and everything.
  15. Gah! I don't know what I want. The pressure is too much. Just send me some tendo tapes!
  16. Thanks guys. Keep em coming. That reminds me. I think the Akira translation is also too big. I have a repro of it for that reason.

Ah good. From your list I can see you already have Porky's.
  18. I've been thinking about this recently trying to remember some games NES games/hacks/homebrews that will not run on the PowerPak due to the fROM file size being too large. A couple that come to mind are the FF VII demake and the Legend of Link. Are there any others yall can think of? Does the Everdrive have the same issue with file size?
  19. $100 and some clean laundry. I'd take it if I were you.
