  1. I'm waiting as well. At this point in time, I'm just planning on getting the regular GBC version. The other games I already have on PS4 and I'm not enough of a fan to double up on these games for a different system. If I can bundle it with something else in the next few weeks to save on shipping, I'll do that. I might get the cards too just because I really enjoy their trading cards and they aren't too expensive.
  2. That's pretty cool. I would love to have it, but I would be getting it just for the box, so obviously I can't justify it. Is the car adapter an official Sony PS1 part or generic? Good luck with the sale.
  3. I'm sure it will be priced right in line with the Microsoft numbers. Anything more or less would be a surprise to me. It doesn't matter much to me as I am very rarely an early adopter with this type of stuff. I usually wait several years before getting new consoles. Of course, the fact that I don't have a working HD TV, let alone a 4K TV is another reason to wait.
  4. Every time I go to the auto parts store.
  5. I haven't played it either. I actually never really fully played through a Zelda game until Breath of the Wild. However, since then, I've played through the Link's Awakening remake and the original Link's Awakening on GB. I think I've come to realize that I like Zelda games and I would like to eventually work my way through the other main series games.
  6. What's the third game? I was just aware of SMB and the Japanese SMB2. EDIT. Nevermind. The original G&W game is the third.
  7. I'm on the fence. I would really like to have it, but I've been spending so much money lately on other stuff (both gaming and non gaming) that I feel like this is a lot of money for something that I will never use and only look at. I get the hype for sure, but right now, I'm leaning towards passing on it. (at least that's one less person trying to get one).
  8. It looks awesome, but we don't have a room big enough to have a decent race track. I suppose the garage would work with both cars parked outside. The other big downside being that you need a second switch to play with two cars. The only other issue I can think of is that I hope the cars handle better than these: NINTENDO Super Mario Kart 8 Mario Anti-Gravity Mini RC Racer 2.4Ghz My son has this toy and it's a lot of fun to drive around, but the handling isn't precise enough to actually race around in laps. The Live version would need to be a lot more precise, and therefore I assume a lot more expensive. I still see it being a lot of fun.
  9. Why don't you just buy them digitally now? Nearly every single LRG release has been available digitally. Many have been out for years already. The fact that LRG publishes so many titles isn't a valid reason to complain. It's literally the exact opposite. This is what they should be doing. I want to see LRG release as many digital only games to physical as possible.
  10. PS1 graphics really aren't that bad. Textures look kind of grainy, but solid colors usually looked pretty good (which is why Ridge Racer looks so good). However, this is true of most consoles during this era, not just the PS1. If you enjoy Ridge Racer, make sure you try out Ridge Racer Revolution. Basically the same game with more stuff. The later Ridge Racer games for the PS1 are also good, but they are more traditional racers rather then the true arcade experience of the original and Revolution.
  11. I definitely agree that the cooking in BOTW was fun. The experimentation was really rewarding. I managed to figure out all of the best cooking recipes without ever consulting a guide which was a lot of fun. However, what did get to be a little tedious was the crafting for armor upgrades. It's nice that you can either buy armor or find it in treasure chests, but if you want to upgrade the armor, that's when you get into the 10 of this item, and 5 of this item crap. The first upgrades aren't too bad, but by the time you are trying to max out your best armor, you are searching all over the damn place a super large number of hard to find stuff. I did manage to max out every armor set in the game on my first play through, but that's one of those things that I will probably never do a second time. I'm currently playing the game again now, and I will most likely only go for the 4 or 5 armor sets that are useful in my opinion.
  12. I can agree with that. Especially when the disc version wasn't really any better. You mentioned NBA Jam earlier which is a pretty good example where the disc version didn't really improve anything over the cart. I would say Mortal Kombat would be another (the earlier games, obviously not the modern stuff).
  13. It really depends on the game. Most PS1 games aren't really that bad. Some are worse then others, and some games made improvements with releases. Crash 3 is much faster with the GH version.
  14. Right, wrong or indifferent, it's been pretty clear that Wii U games released for the Switch are going to cost $60. Nintendo made a ton of really great games for the Wii U, but since the console sold so poorly, all of those games sold poorly as well. They are still trying to make the money off those games since they never had a chance to begin with. For MOST people, these are brand new games that they have never played, so $60 isn't that unreasonable.
  15. Breath of the Wild needs a new update that starts the game off with a huge SPOILER WARNING.

    I'll claim the PS1 stuff.
  17. Sounds cool except for the fact that you go into the game knowing you are going to lose.....
  18. 7 for me. I've never really followed them much, but definitely some songs I enjoy.
  19. Not only that, but just looking through the shear volume of books. Our book section is huge. And since there is no way to know what is new and what was there last time, you would need to look through everything each time you go in. I have the same issue with music CDs. I'm sure there are a handful of CDs that I would be interested in, but I'm not sure it's worth the time to dig through them all. With video games it's easy because there are never more than a dozen or so games on the shelf. I can look at everything in under a minute and either grab something or leave.
  20. Future DLC? Probably not, but that would make me laugh if they did it.

Sorry, that's literally the opposite of what a mod directly told me the day I wrote that post.
