  1. Years ago, I used to sell garage door openers. It was fairly common. Someone would come in and say they had an old fashioned wooden garage door that weighed a lot and they needed the most powerful garage door opener we had. I would just explain that assuming the door is installed correctly with the right size springs, the amount of force needed to open the door should be approximately the same regardless of how much the door weighed. Therefore, the size of the motor in the opener doesn't really matter. A 3/4 horse opener should open the door faster than a 1/2 horse opener. That's really the only reason to get a bigger motor. Obviously, your door's springs were installed for the weight of the original door. As you start adding stuff to the door, the springs are no longer sufficient. If you talk to a garage door installer, he could probably tell you what kind of springs you might need. You should be able to lookup the weight of the original door, and maybe weight of each individual sign to get an idea of how much the door weighed when everything was attached to it. Keep in mind, if you put new springs on the door, you will need to either leave the stuff attached to the door, or replace the springs again if you ever take the stuff off.
  2. View Listing FS/FO/FT: Various PS1 Games & Other Systems I'll be listing my doubles here which are for sales with prices listed. However, I'm open to offers or trades on anything. I'm more likely to come down on price if you are buying multiple games. Prices don't include shipping, however, I might be willing to cover shipping depending on how much you are buying. As far as trades go, I'm primarily looking for PS1, but I will consider games from all systems. I'm happy to take pictures or provide descriptions of anything that you are interested in. I don't have a lot of transaction history, but I am 100% positive on eBay, Nintendo Age, and here at VGS. Any other questions, please ask. Thanks for looking. 3. Your motor should be fine. Garage door openers for standard size garage doors only range from about 1/2 horse to 3/4 horse. If the door is too heavy, you need to upgrade your springs. Unfortunately, that can actually be slightly more complicated then replacing the opener. But it can be done.
  4. It took me a second, but that was great.
  5. I've never understood why it gets so much hate. My only complaints were the lack of a save feature, and the lack of any real ending for those few people who actually beat it. However, the gameplay itself is amazing and far better than any other JP game during that time (or possibly any other time, but I haven't played any modern JP games to know for sure). The graphics are great, the music is fantastic, and they did an amazing job of mixing overhead third party gameplay with FPS gameplay. Both modes work very well for their time. I understand that the FPS controls are messy by today's standards, but you have to look at it for what it was when it was released. All of this talk makes me want to go back and play it again.
  6. I haven't played that game in years, but I loved that game when it was new and played it all the time. Once I was really close to beating the game. I actually accomplished all of the goals and made it to the ending helipad without any guide. But when I got there, it said that I was still missing one raptor egg. I was never able to find it and I had to give up and eventually turn it off (no save obviously). If I had access to the internet back then, I could have looked it up. Oh well.
  7. By far my largest issue with the game is that while the controls are ok, they are certainly not designed for precision jumping. If they want to design the game that way, they shouldn't require any precision jumping. If they want to include puzzles like that, they should have tightened up the controls a little bit. I'll put it another way. The main reason why I probably won't go for it again is because I will get no satisfaction from completing it. I'll just be pissed at a game mechanic that was poorly designed in an otherwise super fun game. I would rather have the good memories of the first game my son and I played together instead of any negative memories.
  8. Yes, that's the one, and no I don't got it.... I've spent a lot of time trying it and I just don't see it happening. I'm sure it's probably more my reflexes, but I've always considered the controls for this game to be pretty poor which doesn't help my cause. That's where I've been farming coins as well. It's around 1 hour to farm enough coins to max out at 9999. Based on the outfits that I still need to buy, I'm looking at around 7 hours of doing the same thing over and over again. Not sure if I really want to do that. There are a few outfits that I want, so I might get those, but the outfits for the enemy bosses are sort of dumb. Not sure if it's worth my time. I'm really surprised those outfits haven't been given the option for micro transactions. Not that I would ever pay real money for something like that, but it just seems like the obvious place to put it.
  9. It was definitely Breach & Clear for the Vita. I remember it well. I didn't buy it because I wasn't interested in playing it.
  10. I got into PCE because I was too late to get into TG16. My plan was to just buy the hardware and get an Everdrive. I ended up getting a few games that were cheap over the years, but basically, all of my playing is on a Duo R with an Everdrive and a bunch of burned CDs. It was a lot cheaper than anything TG16 related.
  11. So while taking pictures, I found out that my log had a few region errors and I ended up having a few more imports than I realized. 102 by my count. Japanese PC Engine Hu Card and CD games Famicom and Super Famicom Various PAL Nintendo games PAL Atari 2600 and 7800 games Most of my Master System collection came from a friend in Europe One Japanese PS2 game and several PAL PS3 games PAL PS4 games
  12. Pre ordered as well. Man, I've bought a lot more stuff this month than planned on, but most of it popped up with little warning. On the flip side, I've spent very little on video games since quarantine started, so maybe it's ok to splurge this month.
  13. I agree that Amazon has been a mess. Not just the packaging, but the shipping times as well. The part that pisses me off is that they claim that the slower shipping time is due to the fact that they are making hospitals and medical providers a top priority for shipping PPE. I work for a hospital and deal with some of the purchasing and I can confirm that is 100% false. It's disgusting to me that they try to act like a hero by putting medial workers first when they aren't actually doing it.
  14. Haven't seen it. Haven't heard of it. When I first saw the title, for some reason I thought it was that Sylvester Stallone racing movie, but then I remembered that was called Driven. Oddly enough, there is a racing movie that is also called Redline, but I haven't see that one either.
  15. The books I've ordered have been through their site. I guess I'm not surprised that Amazon would ship it differently. I'm glad you enjoy the book. I really like their stuff. I'm curious what their 8th installment will be. I'm guessing/hoping for Genesis, N64 or PS1.
  16. I'm a huge fan of their books. I have all 7 of their visual compendiums and I'm looking forward to the next in the series. I also have a few of their other books. I super surprised that it was damaged in shipping. I've always considered them to "over pack" their books. The last one I received was wrapped in plastic which had a think layer of foam around it with thick plastic corner protectors at each corner. It was then placed inside a cardboard box and wrapped in another layer of plastic BEFORE being put in the actual shipping box. Assuming yours was shipped the same way, I can't image what could be done to damage the corners. Have you contacted them to see about a replacement slip cover?
  17. Never played it. I just have no interest in skateboarding unless it's some type of racing game.
  18. The Darker Side moon #4. There is no way I'm ever getting that one. I managed to get the volleyball moon using Cappy playing as "2 players," but still by myself. I don't consider that cheating. However, to get the jump rope moon, I used the glitch. I do consider that cheating, but I don't care. 100 jump ropes is bull shit. For both volleyball and jump rope, I was able to get the first moon (15 I think) using the normal methods.
  19. Not really looking for the entire lot. No big deal if you decide not to split up. Good luck with the sale.
  20. I will. I just don't have any pictures at the moment. I'll pull them all and take some pics this weekend. They are spread out over most of my systems. Since I just bought the Analogue Mega Sg adapters, I need to get some Sega Mark III games or maybe even some SG1000 games. So that's my excuse to get a few more.
  21. That's what I said when I bought 3 old movie rental store shelves that are 4 feet wide by 8 feet tall each. "I'll never fill these up............"
  22. Thanks. I'll just have to keep an eye out for title 100.
