Some cool chiptune news: 5seven Records just launched a second run of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard NES chiptune, which has more albums on it than the first run.

Since this has additional, unique content, this puppy will have a separate entry from its predecessor.

I’m also annoyed with one of Riki’s tweets where he went to the trouble of acknowledging that he’d received a number of messages from frustrated fans overseas and left it at that, essentially saying you’ll be happy to know that I see you but won’t do anything about it.

This feels like such a roller coaster. What’s the deal with their latest tweets?

Since we made a dedicated badge for chiptune I’d say it should just count toward that badge, however something like 8 or 16 Bit Rhythm Land would be more of a homebrew game.

This was fun to play at MAGFest earlier this year. As someone who struggled with some more acute mental health issues a few years ago and continues to struggle more mildly today, this was both engaging and therapeutic. I hope others experience the support this game inspires.

Added RC 2 Rally for Famicom, which while out of stock at the moment, was available on Impact Soft (maker of Haradius Zero)'s page as the game pre-loaded onto his flashable cart. Link for Haradius Zero also updated (specifically linking to overseas purchase option).

Interesting, if I'm understanding correctly, you can buy a flash FC cart and RC2 Rally will be pre-loaded onto it, much like Troll Burner is pre-loaded onto NESmaker refill carts. I'll update the Almanac accordingly later today with this nugget.
